Here is an event for those who appreciate good cooking
and the fun of mixing-it-up in a friendly competition. The
chef creates an incredible menu and recipes and, with the
sous chef, provides the culinary leadership and direction
for the competition. Approximately 13 other teams, each
similarly composed of two professionals and eight nonculinary
professionals, spend 90 minutes planning and preparing
and then 75 minutes actually cooking a four-course
meal for the judges. The Cook-Off Grand Champion
award goes to the overall winner but other distinction
awards include: Most Innovative Menu, Most Creative
Presentation, Most Spirited Team, and Best Use of West
Virginia Products.
This event is designed to allow you to fulfill your creative
urge and satisfy your competitive streak as well. Please
join us in a rousing competition that is a unique celebration
of food and the local ingredients that make it uniquely West Virginia.
