Susan Jones is Food and Beverage Director for Adventure WV Resort and its three restaurants: Smokey’s on the Gorge, Chetty’s Pub and Buffler’s. She has been with the resort since 2004.
Susan has worked in the culinary industry since high school. In 2001, she was a partner in Fayetteville ’s Canyon Door restaurant. At Adventure West Virginia Resort, Susan and her culinary team offer a fresh, eclectic Appalachian menu. The restaurant purchases as much food as possible from local producers and enjoys surprising their customers with innovative menus featuring wild game and Appalachian recipes.
“With our casual atmosphere, we are able to introduce our guests to new tastes by offering regional food in ways that are not intimidating,” Susan said.
Smokey’s on the Gorge has been featured on Food Network’s “The Best of” and the resort’s cuisine is a favorite at the annual Taste of Bridge Day.
